When I turned 16, I got a job at a stable. When I first started working, I did not have much experience and some people there felt like I did not belong. Every single day I walked in, I had to fight for my place. This taught me never to give up even when it feels like you should. I soon went from the girl that did not belong to the girl that was one of the main instructors and winning blue ribbons in competitions. If I had given up when it got hard, I would not have a blue ribbon on my wall right now. 

My first semester in Eller as a junior, I was put into a team for 3 out of 5 classes. We did everything from projects to presentations to in-class assignments together. I was able to be the team leader for 2 out of 3 classes. This experience taught me so much and I am graceful for my amazing peers!

After I was working for about 6 months, I had impressed my boss and coworkers with my passion and determination. I was given the privilege of teaching horseback riding lessons.  I soon learned how to teach people of all ages and experience levels. I quickly discovered my passion for teaching. When I started teaching, I saw it as a skill I was developing. Now I see teaching as something I enjoy!

I love adventure! I am always looking to push myself and learn something new. 

Another thing I love is fishing! Last summer, I went shark fishing at night. It was by far the scariest thing I have ever done. I swam a fish on the line out for bait in the dark water. I swam back to shore and shortly after, I caught this bull shark. 

Animals are something I am very passionate about! I love being able to take care of someone else, especially if that someone is my puppy.
